Dear Citizens Of Israel

Dear Citizens of Israel,

Just a brief note that I am praying for you,
your great country & your brave leader as
he fights to survive his recent illness.

May God Bless,

Purified Hearts & Clean Hands

As Christians there are times when our spiritual lives
become stagnant and stale as can be.
For we long to "see God" as some people describe
and have fruits that others can see.
We question ourselves day in and day out
what the problem is deep at the core.
Or what is the roadblock between spiritual imtimacy
that stops us from seeing Him more ?
More often than not, the real issue is sin
that we've ignored though the Spirit has spoken.
An area where we have allowed a great breech
has left us spiritually crippled or broken.
It might be a "pet sin" that we've casually re-named
to call a weakness instead of a sin.
And we go to bed with it...unwilling to let it go
so it's there when we wake up again.
No matter the issue of sin or disobedience
we must get honest with God on His throne.
We must confess and repent...to purge the sin from our hearts
and walk holy, the way He has shown.
Though He is a God of love...He's still righteous and holy
and He is serious when He speaks and commands.
He will show His face to those who come into His presence
...with purified hearts and clean hands.

Sheila Gosney 2005

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. JAMES 4:7-8

Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the LORD.
Lamentations 3:40

"Who is this who darkens
counsel By words without
knowledge? Now prepare
yourself like a man; I will
question you, and you shall
answer Me.

"Where were you when I
laid the foundations of the
earth? Tell Me, if you
have understanding. Who
determined its measurements?
Surely you know! Or who
stretched the line upon it?
To what were its foundations
fastened? Or who laid its
cornerstone, When the
morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God
shouted for joy? "Or who
shut in the sea with doors,
When it burst forth and
issued from the womb;
When I made the clouds
its garment, And thick
darkness its swaddling
band; When I fixed My
limit for it, And set bars
and doors; When I said,
'This far you may come,
but no farther, And here
your proud waves must stop!'

"Have you commanded the
morning since your days began,
And caused the dawn to know
its place, That it might take hold
of the ends of the earth, And
the wicked be shaken out of it?
It takes on form like clay under
a seal, And stands out like a
garment. From the wicked
their light is withheld, And
the upraised arm is broken.

"Have you entered the springs
of the sea? Or have you walked
in search of the depths? Have
the gates of death been
revealed to you? Or have
you seen the doors of the
shadow of death? Have
you comprehended the
breadth of the earth?

Tell Me, if you know all this.

"Where is the way to the
dwelling of light? And
darkness, where is its
place, That you may
take it to its territory,
That you may know
the paths to its home?

Do you know it,
because you were
born then, Or because
the number of your days
is great? "Have you
entered the treasury
of snow, Or have you
seen the treasury of hail,
Which I have reserved
for the time of trouble,
For the day of battle
and war? By what way
is light diffused, Or
the east wind scattered
over the earth?

"Who has divided
a channel for the
overflowing water,
Or a path for the
thunderbolt, To
cause it to rain
on a land where
there is no one,
A wilderness in
which there is no
man; To satisfy
the desolate waste,
And cause to spring
forth the growth of
tender grass?
Has the rain a
father? Or who
has begotten the
drops of dew?
From whose
womb comes
the ice? And the
frost of heaven,
who gives it birth?
The waters harden
like stone, And the
surface of the deep
is frozen. "Can you
bind the cluster of the
Pleiades, Or loose the
belt of Orion? Can you
bring out Mazzaroth in
its season? Or can you
guide the Great Bear
with its cubs? Do you
know the ordinances of
the heavens? Can you
set their dominion over
the earth? "Can you lift
up your voice to the clouds,
That an abundance of water
may cover you? Can you
send out lightnings, that they
may go, And say to you,
'Here we are!'? Who
has put wisdom in the mind?
Or who has given understanding
to the heart?

Who can number the clouds
by wisdom? Or who can pour
out the bottles of heaven,
When the dust hardens in
clumps, And the clods cling
together?

"Can you hunt the prey for
the lion, Or satisfy the appetite
of the young lions, When they
crouch in their dens, Or lurk
in their lairs to lie in wait?
Who provides food for
the raven, When its young
ones cry to God, And
wander about for lack
of food?

Best Wishes,
Dr. Howdy

P.S. You have a riveting web
log and undoubtedly must have
atypical & quiescent potential
for your intended readership.

There is a time for everything,
a season for every activity
under heaven. A time to be
born and a time to die. A
time to plant and a time to
harvest. A time to kill and
a time to heal. A time to
tear down and a time to
rebuild. A time to cry and
a time to laugh. A time to
grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones
and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a
time to turn away. A time to
search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to
throw away. A time to tear
and a time to mend. A time
to be quiet and a time to
speak up. A time to love
and a time to hate. A time
for war and a time for peace.

May 2006 be
your time to laugh,
embrace & receive
personal peace,
Dr. Howdy

Dear Howdy,

Due to the health crisis of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, former Mayor of Jerusalem and a friend of the Jerusalem Prayer Team, Ehud Olmert, has become the acting Prime Minister of Israel. Please pray for him.

While mayor of Jerusalem, my dear friend Ehud Olmert flew to Dallas, Texas to speak at the first Jerusalem Prayer Summit. As acting Prime Minister, Ehud desperately needs the prayers and support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team, as does the nation of Israel.

As you know, Israel faces crises on several different fronts. Iran looms large on the horizon due to the threats made against Israel by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In Ahmadinejad’s opinion, the tiny nation of Israel should be “wiped off the face of the earth.” With his rush to possess nuclear weapon capabilities, Admadinejad could be armed and even more dangerous within the next 12 months. The missiles are ready to launch.

Not only is Israel facing the threat from Iran, but closer to home, there is the threat of 10,000 missiles and 100,000 Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and now, al-Qaeda terrorists next door in Lebanon and the Palestinian Territory.

Please pray today for Prime Minister Sharon, for acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and for the nation of Israel.

Should I have to go to Israel quickly, I would like to be able to take your words of support and comfort to Mr. Olmert and the nation of Israel. You may send a brief email of support to jpteam@sbcglobal.net.

These are perilous times for Israel and for the world. I did not realize when God called me to a 21-day fast just how important this time would be.

America is asleep. We must launch a national campaign to awaken this nation. It is imperative that I hire a media company to book network shows to get the word out about the crisis with Iran, the threat to Israel and America, and to mobilize millions of prayer warriors (Esthers and Nehemiahs). The simple fact is that one nuclear suitcase bomb in Tel Aviv could kill half a million Jews. Please send your largest gift today to help us launch this campaign.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Mike Evans

When it comes to thinking then you can say that UNC does not do any thinking at all. What the Duke student should have said is" I am the best there is in Basketball" and then the mirror wouldn't have sucked him into the mirror. All I am saying is that Duke is #1.

Verse of the Day

* * * Four important things to KNOW: #1) For ALL (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) have sinned & fall short of the glory of God. #2) For the wages of above (see #1) are DEATH (Hell, eternal separation from God, & damnation) but the Gift (free & at no charge to you) of God (Creator, Jehovah, & Trinity) is Eternal Life (Heaven) through (in union with) Jesus Christ (God, Lord, 2nd Person of The Trinity, Messiah, Prince of Peace & Savior of the World). #3) For God so greatly loved & dearly prized the world (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) that He even gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, that whosoever (anyone, anywhere, anytime - while still living) believes (trust in, relies on, clings to, depends completely on) Him shall have eternal (everlasting) life (heaven). #4) Jesus said: "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE. No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.

D I S C L A I M E R If someone should ask if it's legal to download songs
found on various non-commercial sites, such as this one.

Well, I'm neither a lawyer nor a technician,
and I've begun to wonder if it was legal for
us to tape music off the radio back when
tape recorders first came into being.

And were we committing a crime when we recorded
a movie shown on TV with our VCRs? And was it
really legal to buy a dual-deck recorder for the
express purpose of duplicating cassettes?

My answer to all of the above is, "I don't know."

Nonetheless, here is a formal statement in
some kind of legalize that appears to apply
to this kind of file availability:
