In a way, you might say Wallace Stevens

successful insurance executive -- but
best known as one of the greatest American

poets of the twentieth century. Yet Stevens

Comments:
Having received such magnamanous praise on my own web log from this authour, I cannot but help reciprocate;

Your offering to the blogsphere is a refreshing change from the usual re-cycled pap we see so much of from other contributors. I am awed by the amount of time you must put in to generating such a wealth of original content.

Your humble servant...etc, etc, etc.

http://www.managedmusic.com/beforeyougo.html ... take time to look at
this!

The elderly parking lot attendant wasn't in a good mood! Neither was
Sam Bierstock. It was around 1 a.m., and Bierstock, a Delray Beach, FL
eye doctor, business consultant, corporate speaker and musician, was
bone tired after appearing at an event. He pulled up in his car, and
the parking attendant began to speak. "I took two bullets for this
country and look what I'm doing," he said bitterly.

At first, Bierstock didn't know what to say to the World War II veteran.
But he rolled down his window and told the man, "Really, from the bottom
of my heart, I want to thank you."

Then the old soldier began to cry.

"That really got to me," Bierstock says.

Cut to today. Bierstock, 58, and John Melnick, 54, of Pompano Beach and
a member of Bierstock's band, Dr. Sam and the Managed Care Band, have
written a song inspired by that old soldier in the airport parking lot.
The mournful "Before You Go" does more than salute those who fought in
WWII. It encourages people to go out of their way to thank the aging
warriors before they die.

"If we had lost that particular war, our whole way of life would have
been shot," says Bierstock, who plays harmonica. "The WW II soldiers
are now dying at the rate of about 2,000 every day. I thought we needed
to thank them."

The song is striking a chord. Within four days of Bierstock placing it
on the Web http: //www.beforeyougo.us, the song and accompanying photo
essay have bounced around nine countries, producing tears and heartfelt
thanks from veterans, their sons and daughters and grandchildren.

"It made me cry," wrote one veteran's son. Another sent an e-mail
saying that only after his father consumed several glasses of wine would
he discuss "the unspeakable horrors" he and other soldiers had witnessed
in places such as Anzio, Iwo Jima, Bataan and Omaha Beach. "I can never
thank them enough," the son wrote. "Thank you for thinking about them."

Bierstock and Melnick thought about shipping it off to a professional
singer, maybe a Lee Greenwood type, but because time was running out for
so many veterans, they decided it was best to release it quickly, for
free, on the Web. They've sent the song to Sen. John McCain and others
in Washington. Already they have been invited to perform it in Houston
for a Veterans Day tribute - this after just a few days on the Web.
They hope every veteran in America gets a chance to hear it.

God Bless EVERY veteran and THANK YOU to those of you veterans who may
receive this !

CAUTION---Dear Hearts----you may want to save this for a time and place where you can quietly and prayerfully view this film.

It is not just a short clip.

I pray that you will be able to make provisions to view this perhaps with your Loved Ones. A good idea would be to share it with
them with Love---like I am with you.

I pray that you will not delete it---if for some reason you are not able to view it---PLEASE SHARE IT WITH SOME ONE!

Praying that you will have a GOD BLESSED--prosperous, happy and healthy New Year---and thereafter,

Verse of the Day

* * * Four important things to KNOW: #1) For ALL (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) have sinned & fall short of the glory of God. #2) For the wages of above (see #1) are DEATH (Hell, eternal separation from God, & damnation) but the Gift (free & at no charge to you) of God (Creator, Jehovah, & Trinity) is Eternal Life (Heaven) through (in union with) Jesus Christ (God, Lord, 2nd Person of The Trinity, Messiah, Prince of Peace & Savior of the World). #3) For God so greatly loved & dearly prized the world (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) that He even gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, that whosoever (anyone, anywhere, anytime - while still living) believes (trust in, relies on, clings to, depends completely on) Him shall have eternal (everlasting) life (heaven). #4) Jesus said: "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE. No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.

D I S C L A I M E R If someone should ask if it's legal to download songs
found on various non-commercial sites, such as this one.

Well, I'm neither a lawyer nor a technician,
and I've begun to wonder if it was legal for
us to tape music off the radio back when
tape recorders first came into being.

And were we committing a crime when we recorded
a movie shown on TV with our VCRs? And was it
really legal to buy a dual-deck recorder for the
express purpose of duplicating cassettes?

My answer to all of the above is, "I don't know."

Nonetheless, here is a formal statement in
some kind of legalize that appears to apply
to this kind of file availability:
