Merry CHRISTmas
The Prophecies

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign;
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son,
and shall call His name Immanuel.
- - -- - - - Prophet Isaiah (740 B.C.) 7/14

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be
little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of
thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be
Ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth have been
from of old, from everlasting.
- - - - - - Prophet Micah (622 B.C.) 5/2

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given:
and the government shall be upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor,
Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince
of Peace. - - - - - - Isaiah (740 B.C.) 9/6

The First CHRISTmas

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out
a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should
be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius
was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every
one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from
Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto
the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because
he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed
with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days
were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped
Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding
in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and
the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and
they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great
joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born
this day in the city of David a Saviour, Who is Christ
the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall
find the Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in
a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a
multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good
will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels
were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds
said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord
hath made known unto us. And they came with haste,
and found Mary, and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a
manger. And when they had seen it, they made known
abroad the saying which was told them concerning this
Child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things
which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept
all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the
shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the
things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

A Letter

It actually is somewhat of a relief toknow I can wish a Merry Christmas tosomeone without fear of offending him.MERRY CHRISTMAS, Howdy!I would ask one small favor: if youwould remind your readers to offer alittle prayer for safety and well-beingfor our soldiers deployed in harm's way, wherever they are stationed. Some ofthese youths have never been away from home before. They get wistful aroundthis time of year. Most of them are fellow Christians.
BTW: Have a prosperous and happy NewYear too.

On Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, a young girl
with light in her eyes
Looked deep into Santa's to Santa's surprise,
and said as she nestled toward Santa,
"I want your secret. Tell it to me."

Because Of This King
Two-thousand years ago in virtual obscurity
the King of all kings had been born.
He was a King like no other...yet He knew who He was
though no crown or royal garment was worn.
Yet, on that Bethlehem day..the spiritual landscape
of all humanity was changed for all time.
For this little Baby was God come to earth
to bring spiritual sight to the blind.
Because of this King who fulfilled every prophecy
and gave His life as the Lamb to be slain,
Salvation is offered by the free gift of grace
and His mercy that washes all stain.
Because of this King mankind can have hope
when they trust in the strength of His name.
For He bore all the sin of every person on earth
and His death paid the price of their blame.
Because of this King the righteousness of God
can dwell in the hearts of all man.
For the Kingdom to come is by the blood of the Son
and all the mercy of Salvation's plan.
In the stillness of the night came the cry of an Infant
and all the citizens of heaven did sing.
Hope lives on earth....man can be saved
and there is peace now because of this King.

Sheila Gosney

But the free gift is not like the offense.
For if by the one man's offense many died,
much more the grace of God and the gift by
the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ,
abound to many.

For if by the one man's offense death reigned
through the one, much more those who received
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness
will reign through the One, Jesus Christ.

ROMANS 5:15 and 5:17

Dumb & Dumber

Nicholas Kristof must be a very smart man --
but a very slow learner. A columnist for The
New York Times, Kristof is a Harvard graduate
and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.
But when it comes to something as significant as
the nature of Christianity, Kristof and his columns
are dumb and dumber. MORE: http://xrl.us/eg6p

White Christmas .

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

Written by Irving Berlin, 1942

Hang These On Your Tree

Home For Christmas
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home

I met a man who lives in Tennessee
And he was headin' for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are trav'lin' down
To Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee,
The traffic is terrific!

Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home.

A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was

preparing to leave the examination room and said,

"Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on

the other side."

Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."

"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know

what is on the other side?"

The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on

the other side came a sound of scratching and

whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang

into the room and leaped on him with an eager show

of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you

notice my dog? He's never been in this room before.

He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing

except that his master was here, and when the door

opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of

what is on the other side of death, but I do know

one thing... I know my Master is there and that is

May today there be peace within you. May you trust

God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us

to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering

how to fly.
I Know What the Bible Means

A father was approached by his small son, who told him proudly, "I know what the Bible means!" His father smiled and replied, "What do you mean, you 'know' what the Bible means?" The son replied, "I do know!"

"Okay," said his father. "So, son, what does the Bible mean?"

"That's easy, Daddy. It stands for 'Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.'"

Verse of the Day

* * * Four important things to KNOW: #1) For ALL (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) have sinned & fall short of the glory of God. #2) For the wages of above (see #1) are DEATH (Hell, eternal separation from God, & damnation) but the Gift (free & at no charge to you) of God (Creator, Jehovah, & Trinity) is Eternal Life (Heaven) through (in union with) Jesus Christ (God, Lord, 2nd Person of The Trinity, Messiah, Prince of Peace & Savior of the World). #3) For God so greatly loved & dearly prized the world (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) that He even gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, that whosoever (anyone, anywhere, anytime - while still living) believes (trust in, relies on, clings to, depends completely on) Him shall have eternal (everlasting) life (heaven). #4) Jesus said: "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE. No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.

D I S C L A I M E R If someone should ask if it's legal to download songs
found on various non-commercial sites, such as this one.

Well, I'm neither a lawyer nor a technician,
and I've begun to wonder if it was legal for
us to tape music off the radio back when
tape recorders first came into being.

And were we committing a crime when we recorded
a movie shown on TV with our VCRs? And was it
really legal to buy a dual-deck recorder for the
express purpose of duplicating cassettes?

My answer to all of the above is, "I don't know."

Nonetheless, here is a formal statement in
some kind of legalize that appears to apply
to this kind of file availability:
